Jake and his wife, Regan are the Multi-Unit Franchisees of the Orangetheory Fitness studios in the Wichita area, but to them Orangetheory is so much more than that. Regan has been a coach since 2016, and Jake has been a member since 2018. They met at Orangetheory in 2018, and Jake proposed following a class in 2019, so becoming franchisees was the obvious next step.

The Waymans acquired the Orangetheory studios in January 2020, aiming for growth. Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19, they persevered and found success. Now, with the pandemic behind them, Jake and Regan lead a team of 30 across their three studios.

​

Jake is deeply involved in the Wichita community. He serves as President of the Rotary Club of Wichita, Past Chair of the Salvation Army Advisory Board, Board Member of the Wichita Independent Business Association, and a past Honorary Commander for McConnell Air Force Base.

An entrepreneur at heart, Jake co-founded 1 Million Cups Wichita, Startup Grind Wichita, Shift ICT, and Connecting ICT. He was also the founding Director of the e2e Accelerator (now NXTUS), where he supported the launch of 20 startups in Wichita.

In recognition of his contributions, Jake received the 2023 Exceptional Young Leader Honor from the Wichita Chamber.

 

Jake has held several Business Development roles across various industries, including employee benefits, health insurance, healthcare, construction, and economic development.

​

He holds a Bachelor's degree from Wichita State University, a Master's in Healthcare Administration from the University of Kansas Medical Center, and an MBA from Newman University.

Jake and Regan live in Wichita with their two boys, Ren and Jaxx; their daughter, Remi; and their golden retriever, Sammy.
